Who Are We?
Bow Wow is the brainchild of the great genius Ginny Yap and the team consists of 5 members, led by said genius and supervised by a teacher advisor. We have sworn a blood oath to protect all the poor mistreated animals that we possibly can, and through this project we hope to achieve our goal and make a difference!! Most members of team Bow Wow love animals. Okay, maybe just one or two. But we still care a lot. Our team is:
Miss Rajini
The one and only MISS RAJINI!! Our wonderful teacher advisor. She told us about the competition and got us full-day exemptions so we could work on the website. We're really grateful for that seeing as we had very limited time and it's not easy getting full day exemptions lately =p A very nice person who never once insulted the website when any other normal person would (u_u) We started really late but she never gave up hope on us and supported us all the way!
Ginny Yap
She is the person running the show. A very KIND and LOVING person, who will do anything she can for animals in need of help. Besides that, she is also a very forceful and persuasive leader, with a great style for motivating people to do work (a lot of yelling) or occasionally with the phrase "If you can make this work, I'll strip for you." Unfortunately, most of the time it's her doing the scripting on the site so she usually ends up working it out in the end. So NOPE, no stripping in the making of this website.
Khue Ju Piau
Ju Piau is our chief designer whose designing skills will leave you amazed. I'm sure you yourself were awed when you came to our fantastical website! ANSWER US! YOU WERE AMAZED WERE YOU NOT?!! (Ginny : "EH! WHERE GOT FAIR? I HELP DESIGN ALSO LOR THE WEBSITE!! WHAT IS THIS!! T_T *pouts*") He is also the mastermind behind the Bow Wow posters for the exhibitions and also the creater of our logo. Pretty cool eh? He is a jovial and fun person to be with; at least until Ginny shows up and makes us do work.
We Han Kuan
Without him, we wouldn't have gotten a lot of things done; because he brought the laptop with all the programs we needed. Yup, yup. He was the only person who had any of the programmes needed. He was also the great one who suggested using dreamweaver to produce the html codings for our site. He's motivated to do work by the possibility of another team member putting on a strip show for him. Sad to say, he never did get his strip show.
Lin Zheng-Lin
Our resident advisor and supervisor, I think. "I've seen him cut paper before!" says Keegan. He's getting pretty good at online games at www.orisinal.com (we really do love this site and we hope that one day we will be able to make a site just like that!! Check out it's guestbook!! Ain't it the cutest thing ever?) since we spend a lot of time in the computer lab. He is also good at random jobs. Without him, our team would fall apart. REALLY!!You can't have sugared doughnut without the sugar now, can you?
Keegan Lee
Some useless guy (he typed this part out himself ("u_u)) who sits around and sometimes gives his comments. Or once yelled at by Ginny, he actually does play around with the HTML coding in our website but we often hear this phrase "OMG KEEGAN!! WHAT DID YOU DO THIS TIME!!!?!??!" which he then answers with an "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!! WHY DON'T YOU TRUST ME!??!!" But seriously, some of the codes like the falling snow wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for him. You know we love you Keegan.

Objective
The objective of our project is to increase public awareness of the situations and unfair treatment that animals and pets around the world are currently facing, especially those in Malaysia. Pets, mainly cats and dogs, are constantly being mistreated and abandoned by hundreds of thousands of irresponsible people. Thus, we are making an effort to enforce Malaysian animal welfare laws as we believe that the current laws do not suffice to protect the well being of these unfortunate animals. Besides this, we are also hoping to raise sufficient funds for organizations such as SPCA and PAWS to help aid them in sheltering abandoned and abused pets as well as support them in the fight for animal rights in Malaysia.
After all, people these days are so absorbed in their daily life that they don't really care about what happens to their surroundings, humans and animals alike. Even if there are those who care, they are more concerned about helping out other people that they tend to neglect the other creatures around them. Animals were in fact created by God as well and it's our duty to protect these special gifts. You hear all about charity but most of these charities are aimed at helping old folk homes, the under privileged or the orphanage, but how many of these are in aid of the animals who need just as much help? So we think that it's time someone tried to make a difference and speak out to the nation. We may just be a small number of high school students but we are full of determination and heart and WE want to MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Project Structure
1. Design website layout
2. Draft out Projects:-
-Petition to the prime minister to ban the shooting of dogs and increase the fine and jail sentence of those who abuse their pets (aim : 20-25,000 signatures)
-Fund-raising activities (Selling T-shirts & calendars etc etc)
-Exhibitions of animal abuse in schools around KL starting with out very own SSG.-Fund-raising activities (Selling T-shirts & calendars etc etc)
Budget Details
Our budget list has been divided into 3 main sectors. The first one being exhibitions. Whereas the second, fund raising cost and the last one, petition forms. For the time being, our budget details may be inaccurate at certain heights and may change at any time depending on the situation especially the expense sheet of our fundraising.
Basically, our team? main budget income will be depending on a loan that we will be obtained from our school? Student Council. With promising support from Student Council, we hope to get a loan of total RM5000. Besides that, we will also be posting advertisements in our school? newsletter and hopefully there will be positive feedbacks from our sponsors. If in any case, we weren? able to collect sufficient funds, the team members have willingly agreed to sacrifice their own savings as loans for our T-shirt fund raising activities.
Our project will start off with the collection of funds for our T-shirts first. Once we manage to produce these T-shirts, they will be displayed during the exhibition. The cost price for each T-shirt is approximately RM 12. Through this, we will be able to regain our money by paying off our loans after selling 200 T-shirts at the price of RM 30 each.

Expected Outcome
We hope that after seeing the exhibitions we put up on animal abuse, people will be more aware and areable to appreciate animals more as well as be more motivated to play their respective parts in protecting the welfare of animals. On a more serious note, we hope that the government will take into consideration our petition to make amendments to the law protecting animals in Malaysia and hopefully the law against animal cruelty will be better enforced. We also intend to raise as much funds as possible and donate them to SPCA and PAWS or any other animal shelters that need our help so they are able to feed the animals they are sheltering as well as providing a better environment for them to live in. All in all, hopefully Malaysia will be a better place for animals to be in and the citizens of Malaysia will be able to better appreciate these special beings.
